Ron Sholes is a Jacksonville personal injury attorney and has been an avid hoops fan since his childhood in Illinois. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the 1991 Gulf War and later attended the University of Florida, earning his law degree. After seeing unsuccessful attempts by others to bring sustainable professional basketball to Jacksonville, Ron took on the challenge. He assembled a team of driven and talented coaches, players and office staff to make the dream a reality, reaching the Final Four in their 23-0 first season and the national ABA championship in the second season.

Pamela Masters

Vice President

Miss Pam is Vice President of the Jacksonville Giants. She is also the National Director, choreographer, and owner of Miss Pam Productions, Inc. d/b/a Showtime U.S.A. and USA Camps & Tours. Pam’s entire professional career is in management and leadership roles. She has managed hundreds of professional events, including selection of the venues, staff, music, talent, activities, etc.

Before becoming Vice President in 2019, Pam was the General Manager of The 6-time National Champion Jacksonville Giants ABA Basketball Team from 2015-2018. In this role she produced all simultaneous game operations, events with more than 8,000 people in attendance, including live television, radio, sponsorships, marketing, media, public relations and social media. She is known as the “go to” person who ensures attentiveness to all of the details for producing highly-engaging fan experiences that keep them returning year after year. Pam was the ABA General Manager of the Year for the 2015-2016, 2016-2017, and 2017-2018 seasons.

Ernest Ross Jr

Assistant General Manager

Ernest Ross Jr is the Assistant General Manager for the Jacksonville Giants and is currently majoring in Sports Management. For the 2021 season, Ernest was previously one of the Directors of Gameday operations and has since grown with the Giants organization and is now the Assistant GM.

Ernest has been in the sports world since 2018 while working with the Jacksonville Jaguars security team and also an NFL gameday Fan Experience representative, even most recently with the Jacksonville Sharks football operations team for their 2021 season. Born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, Ernest will continue to gain experience and knowledge as a General Manager and ultimately work for a Major League team in the NFL or NBA.

Chase Spangler is a Director of Basketball Operations for the Jacksonville Giants. The UNF Grad and Jacksonville native is in his 2nd year with the team and looking to pursue a career in his field of Sports Management.

Clifford Horace

Director of Basketball Operations

Clifford Is a senior at the University of North Florida majoring in Sports Management with a minor in business Admission. Born in Haiti, and grew up in Broward County, Fl. He got his Associate of Art in Graphic Design and a Business Specialist Certificate at Broward College. He move to Jacksonville, Fl for school where his sports management career started. 

Jared Gravel

Director of Public Relations

Jared Gravel is the Director of Public Relations for the Jacksonville Giants. He sends out press releases and helps out with game operations on game days. The 4 year Jacksonville native has worked for multiple teams in the city and loves his position with the Giants. He looks to further his career in the sports world in a front office aspect.

Stephanie Adam

Director of Game Day Operations

Stephanie is a senior attending the University of North Florida majoring in Sports Management and minoring in Business Management. She has previously obtained her AS degree from St. John’s River State College. She plans to work in the sports industry directly with game day operations but is open to working in all departments. Stephanie is excited to start her journey with the Jacksonville Giants and hopes to expand her experience in the sports industry.

Natavia Reddick

Natavia Reddick

Social Media and Public Relations Liaison

Natavia Reddick is a Senior studying Communication and Film at Jacksonville University. She works as a sports broadcaster streaming NCAA sports for ESPN+ through the athletics department at JU. In her previous role, she worked as the Public Relations and Finance Coordinator for the Jacksonville University Radio Station. In that position, she managed the Dolphin Radio social media platforms and worked alongside the professor to teach students how to operate their radio shows. 

Natavia believes in working with like-minded individuals to further improve and develop her skills. Overall, she is excited about working with the Jacksonville Giants because she gets to gain hands-on experience producing sports content for users. 

Ali Rogel

Director of Graphic Design

Ali is a Jacksonville native and began her journey with the Jacksonville Giants as a graphics intern in Spring 2021. Since then, she has graduated from Flagler College with a Bachelors in Graphic Design and a Minor in Advertising. She has recently started her first full-time job as a graphic designer, but loves to do work for the Jacksonville Giants.

Matt Potak

Commentator and Team Writer

Matt Potak will begin his seventh season on the Giants media team. Matt was the color commentator in 2015-2018 before converting to the head commentator role in 2019. Matt was with the 1010XL Giants radio team before joining the Giants television broadcast team with CW17. Matt was the cohost for the St. Johns County radio show “Sports Now” with John Frary on Newstalk WYOY and Sports radio 1420AM. Matt also writes and reports for the Times Union, St. Augustine Record, and other national media services.

 

Jared Gravel

Jared Gravel is a Junior at the University of North Florida majoring in Sport Management and double minoring in Business Administration and Mass Communications. His aspirations include being in the front office for a professional sports team. Born in Fort Lauderdale, he moved to Jacksonville for school and looks to dive right into his sports management career.  

 

Brian Sheffield

Athletic Trainer

Brian Sheffield is a two time University of North Florida graduate as well as an alum of Englewood High School here in Jacksonville, FL. In addition to serving as the Giants athletic trainer Brian is a certified athletic trainer at CORA Physical Therapy as well. Brian has formerly worked for Heartland Rehabilitation Services as an athletic trainer. He has a has a background in soccer and has served in positions such as the Athletic Trainer and Technical Director for Westside Soccer Club as well as coaching soccer at Mandarin High School.

Joshua Jackson

Voice of The Jacksonville Giants

Joshua is a Jacksonville native and a graduate of Clay High School. Jackson is a graduate of Florida A&M University where he got his degree in Communications/Broadcast Journalism. He currently works at Edward Waters College where he serves as Sports Information Director. Also, Jackson has served as a radio color commentator for the Edward Waters College football team and as a Public Address Announcer for the Men’s & Women’s Basketball, Baseball, & Softball teams. Joshua’s voice is well known in the Jacksonville area. In addition to being the voice of the Jacksonville Giants he also serves as the Public Address Announcer for the Jacksonville Sharks and the Jacksonville University Men’s Basketball team.

The Giants family are extremely saddened about the loss of Vice President, Joe Miller. Joe was instrumental in helping bring professional basketball back to Jacksonville. The Giants will be forever grateful for his dedication and sacrifice. Joe is missed by many, but we will do our best to keep his energetic spirit alive! Joe was truly a Giant!
