Look out St. Louis! The undefeated and #1 ranked defending ABA champions are coming to town! The Jacksonville Giants capped off a historic season with a thrilling victory at home against the #1 seed North Alabama War Dawgs, which helped catapult our hometown heroes to the number 1 spot. The win over North Alabama concluded a perfect season for the Giants, as they have tons of momentum and swagger rolling into playoffs in just a couple of weeks.

The battle between the top 2 teams in the ABA certainly lived up to the hype. Fans witnessed a chippy first quarter, in which we saw blood, injuries, and ejections. From the tip, both sides knew this game was monumental and each gave it their all, as it was neck and neck for nearly the entire first half. In the 2nd half, the Giants found separation from the War Dawgs in the transition game as they sped up their play in order to gain the lead. Chase Studirvant did all he could for North Alabama until the pesty Giants defense hounded him to create turnovers and scoring chances the other way, which eventually helped Jacksonville capture the victory by a final score of 120-110.

Now ranked as the #1 seed in the entire ABA, the Giants will receive a first-round bye in the upcoming postseason, which is set to kick off April 14th. A great regular season for the Giants is just a few wins away from being a historic one, and ending in championship number 7. Giants fans can tune into the tournament through the official ABA website, as our champs will still need continuous support on their quest for another title.
