Ron Sholes: President and Team Owner
ronRon Sholes is a Jacksonville personal injury attorney and has been an avid hoops fan since his childhood in Illinois. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the 1991 Gulf War and later attended the University of Florida, earning his law degree. After seeing unsuccessful attempts by others to bring sustainable professional basketball to Jacksonville, Ron took on the challenge. He assembled a team of driven and talented coaches, players and office staff to make the dream a reality, reaching the Final Four in their 23-0 first season and the national ABA championship in the second season.

Pam Masters – General Manager
Pam

Pam Masters has been coaching and running a successful production company for 30 years. She is currently the dance team coach for the Jewels and Gems dance teams and just accepted the role of General Manager of the team this year.

Known by her students and dancers as “Miss Pam”, her resume features a long list of achievements including: dance director at Pedro Menendez High School, coach of the Lady Jam dance team for the Jacksonville Jam ABA team, and dance director for St. Augustine High School.

Miss Pam oversees all business operations of the Jacksonville Giants.  She has been married to Mr. Matt for over 20 years and has 5 children and grandchildren. Her favorite hobby is hugging her grandbabies.

Joe Miller: Vice President of Basketball Operations
joeJoe Miller has been with the Jacksonville Giants since day one and has been an important contributor to the success of the team over the last five years. “Joe is involved with everything we do,” says Giants owner Ron Sholes. “Joe understands the importance of putting a good product out there each and every time, whether it’s game day or just another day at the office.” You can find Joe roaming the sidelines during Giants games, tending to all sorts of details behind the scenes.

In addition to his Giants duties, Joe is involved with a myriad of unique endeavors from writing and photography, to working with his son Richard Miller on his sports radio talk show. His wife, Bonnie, is a staff attorney with the U.S. Federal District Court System.

Matt Masters: Director of Ticket Operations
mattMatt Masters is the Business Manager and Sound Technician for Showtime USA. He mixes music and engineers sessions for local recording artists.

Matt joined the Giants in the office this season as the Director of Ticket Operations. He handles all of the season ticket holders, game day ticket purchases and group ticket sales. On game days, you can find him sitting at the courtside table next to the game PA announcer, Joshua Jackson. Matt plays the team’s introduction songs, coordinates all of the in-game musical entertainment and keeps the crowd entertained with timely sound effects and musical additions. Matt is the master behind the Giants game day experience!

Matt and his wife Pam, have been married for over 20 years and share 5 children and 4 grandchildren.

Joshua Jackson: Game PA Announcer
joshJoshua Jackson is the PA announcer for the Jacksonville Giants home games at Veterans Memorial Arena and other venues. He has been the man behind the mic since the team’s inaugural season in 2010. A Jacksonville native, Josh graduated from Clay High School and went on to attend Florida A&M University where he earned his degree in Communication and Broadcast Journalism. Josh is also the announcer for the Jacksonville Sharks arena football team and the Assistant Sports Director and radio play-by-play announcer for Edward Waters College. Josh keeps the energy levels high for the fans and the team during home games.
