The Jacksonville Giants improve to 19-1 on the season after a commanding, 123-90, win over the Nassau Pride. Jacksonville jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.

“Great team win,” said head coach Jerry Williams. “Maurice and Bernard went down with injuries and the rest of the guys stepped up and put on a really good show.”

The Giants were led by former Georgetown star Aaron Bowen’s double double. Bowen had 11 points on the evening and contributed strong on the defensive side adding 11 rebounds in the win.

“Aaron Bowen is back in game form and played really good Defense tonight,” said Williams.

Jermaine Bell and Calvin Warner also added power to the stingy Giant defense. The duo complimented Bowen with strong blocks and rebounds throughout the night.

“Jermaine and Calvin created problems for Nassau in the paint all game,” said Williams.

Clarence Tillman, Brent Williams, Elijah Smith, and Miguel Paul were the top scorers for Jacksonville. (Tillman and Williams 15 points each and Smith and Paul with 14 points a piece.)
