The defending ABA Champions wrapped up a successful road trip this weekend. The Giants defeated the Clermont Crocs, 134-119, for their seventh straight win of the season. Point guard Maurice Mickens led the the charge, scoring a season high 47 points in the win. Jacksonville also defeated Tampa Bay on Saturday to sweep the weekend series.

The player of the game and the entire weekend was Mickens. Mickens scored a season high 47 points in Sundays win and also had 33 points in Saturdays game. The 80 combined points gave Jacksonville momentum and fueled them to back to back weekend wins.

Elijah Smith (20 points), Aaron Bowen (15 points), and Miguel Paul (15 points) rounded out the scoring leaders for the Giants. Smith had a great weekend both offensively and defensively. The veteran center led the team in blocks and defensive rebounds while also contributing on offense.

Mickens got things going early in the game, scoring 22 first half points. The Giants landed six three pointers in the first half. Smith, Bowen, Paul, Mickens and Brandon Davis contributed with multiple three pointers throughout the game.
