The city of Jacksonville has a reason to smile this weekend, as the champs are back home after a combination of away games and the holiday break. This Saturday night, the Giants are set to take on the visiting Jackson Showboats at 6pm at Christ the King Catholic School. The squad hasn’t had a home game in nearly a month, so we need all Giants fans to show out and welcome our defending champs back, who look to add on to their current 3 game winning streak.

In a tough matchup against the in-state rival Nassau Pride last weekend, Jacksonville was able to walk away with a 21 point victory after taking commanding control of the game late in the 3rd quarter. Bernard Nugent led the way for the Giants, totaling 24 points and made like a thief in the night with 6 steals!

Miguel Paul, reigning ABA Champion MVP, is finally set to make his home debut after his historic playoff run to cap off last season. In the Championship, Paul poured in 37 points to help complete the title run for the Giants, and now he is back home and ready to help pursue championship number 8. Under Coach Jerrod Tucker, the team seems to have found its identity on both ends of the floor and now get to add an efficient scorer to their already functioning unit on the court.

We need a loud crowd to help push our champs game after game, so make sure and head out to Christ the King Catholic this Saturday, January 15th, at 6pm, as the returning Giants look to show out against the Showboats.
