It is only so often that we get contestants that make the half court shot. Until today, never have contestants made the shot at the Jacksonville Memorial Arena and let alone two contestants in a row!

Kevin, a teach from Seabreeze Elementary, poses with Josh and Mr. Biggs after sinking a half-court shot at the 2/13/17 Giants game versus the Showboats.

Our first winner is Kevin from Seabreeze Elementary, in the green shirt unbelievably made the first shot. Most of the Giants crew were caught unaware! The camera for our Facebook live stream barely caught it.

Kevin’s students and others from the same school went berserk.

Miss Pamela Masters approved a second go-around for the half-court shot contest since it ended so quick! With another $500 up for grabs, the other 11 contestants have at least a chance.

The very next contestant, Tom a chaperone, approaches the half-court line with familiar confidence, hits the backboard, and just as unbelievably as the first, hits a second half-court shot!

For the second time, Giants players and fans alike shouted and cheered the contestants for their luck, skill, and the fact that they each won $500.

Tom, a teaching chaperone, was the second winner of the half-court shot contest at the 2/11/17 Giants game versus the Showboats.

What an amazing and rare experience!
